Description:

Rare opportunity to be part of a team for a leader and rapidly growing company in the big data space. You will need a strong product and technical background to own and drive the strategy, roadmap and product features to deliver innovative and cohesive user experiences across MapR products and services in Cloud.
Responsibilities:
  • Be the champion of the product personas/users spanning administration, data engineering, business analysts, data scientists, and developers
  • Collaborate with customers, partners and other product managers to capture requirements for a variety of products and services and extrapolate UX/UI requirements
  • Own how the product feels and dig into the underlying functional needs and create an enjoyable experience
  • Work with UX team to define, document, wireframe and prototype requirements to create impactful and transformational user interactions 
  • Regularly interact with customers and field teams to validate user experiences and ensure products are intuitive to use
  • Managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution by collaborating with engineering using cutting-edge technologies



Minimum qualifications:
  • BS or MS in a technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in product management, engineering or customer facing field engineering teams.
  • Strong background and proven track record working with Cloud, SaaS, emerging cloud use-cases for web/mobile and enterprise customers delivering innovative user experiences
  • Strong experience conducting user research, interviews, surveys, creating complete information architecture, customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes
  • Experience in building Cloud/SaaS-based analytics and data products is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with big data eco system and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes is a plus
