JOB SUMMARY
:
This person will be responsible for demand generation and pipeline acceleration across all segments. The right candidate has deep experience managing marketing programs focused at both technical and executive, line of business audiences. A critical job skill will be the ability to communicate and vocalize the needs of the field with respect to demand generation as well as communicate to the field organization on programs and initiatives to create demand. The ability to foster a healthy relationship between sales and marketing is a must. Comfort with and experience in a highly data-driven marketing organization is a must. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create and successfully drive awareness, adoption, and usage of the MapR product through innovative and effective programs, including events and tradeshows, webinars, email marketing campaigns, lead generation programs, promotions, partner marketing, etc.
  • Plan, develop, and execute marketing campaign strategies to target technical decision makers and developers.
  • Execute scalable marketing programs with MapR target partners.
  • Assist Corporate Marketing & Partner Marketing with event planning support, in addition to campaign management within regional territory
  • The ability to report the impact of field and partner programs to an executive audience.
  • Build and maintain ongoing communications with the regional sales VP and directors, marketing peers, field reps and partners
  • Ongoing promotion, reporting and tracking of micro event planning, progress, response rate, attendance, and post event communications to the field
  • Work with Alliances team to help manage and executive partner activities such as Field Events, Tradeshows, Webinars, Content, and Budgets
  • Work to maintain partner relationships and leverage them to align with our Company strategy and goals
  • Be the "bridge" and lead between Alliances and Marketing to insure communication is documented appropriately through SalesForce and our webpage regarding partner related activities.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in a marketing leadership position
  • Experience in marketing technical cloud services or B2B technology products preferred
  • Technical background with previous software experience
  • Demonstrated success in event management, product management, and/or project management
  • Willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Experience with working directly with sales and field teams
 
Requirements: 
  • 3 years of experience in field marketing for high tech, B2B, or SaaS company
  • Prior success in partner and field marketing roles in the B2B High Tech world
  • Hands on experience and expertise in running field marketing event campaigns on Marketo, following up leads with Sales and reporting on regional campaigns on Salesforce 
  •  Good knowledge and understanding of email campaign best practices, Marketo landing page, Eventbrite, email templates, and lead database
  • Know how to create simple Marketo report to measure/report regional campaign performance (e.g. #registrants, #attendees, etc)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the demand generation (lead-to-revenue) process 
  • Strong understanding of marketing metrics, measurement, and reporting
  • Proven track record of supporting successful programs with knowledge of databases, email execution, lead processes, reporting and analytics
  • Self-starter with a passion for solving hard problems, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Very detail oriented, ability to think through edge cases, and troubleshoot quickly
  • Track record of working well in a fast-paced environment
